The Smile Clinique

Hi Guys!
Last week I was lucky enough to book into the Smile Clinique in West Leederville, a boutique cosmetic and general dentist that also offers various dermal treatments. I am one of those crazies that absolutely hates the dentist, since I was a kid the smell was enough to put me off for life and scare the crap out of me! I am pleased to report, there was ZERO dentist smell and Sarah and the staff were absolutely amazing. My fear was quashed the minute I stepped through the door and I am pleased to say I genuinely loved every second of my treatment! I wanted both a general dental checkup and clean, as well as teeth whitening so I was super pleased to have it all done at the one place -(as well as some dermal treatments I had been looking into) - ALL offered at the Smile Clinique.

I'm going to start with the word BOTOX! Yep, it's pretty taboo and I generally think people are afraid of the word but hey - I'm 30, I grew up in the Pilbara and I hated my forehead and those pesky wrinkles that started to creep in. I'm here to tell you all - hey, I tried it, it's amazing and not scary at all! Sarah did a full check of my medical history to ensure suitability, mapped me out and I was good to go! I will note here, I love my crows feet, although they show my age they also show I've lived a happy, laughing filled life :)

Teeth Whitening! Ok so this was what I went out searching for. After my clean and dental exam I undertook the in-chair whitening session which took about an hour and a half. The best part about it? I got to watch back to back episodes of Full house on Netflix! Yes sir-ree my friends, you get to watch Netflix whilst your in the dentist's chair! Hashtag WINNING! The results speak for themselves! Check out my pearly whites!
Last but not least, Sarah fixed up some unevenness and chips on my front teeth with composite build up. She used these as minor additions to my teeth to improve their shape, symmetry and to make them appear more well aligned - genius!
I was unbelievably happy with my treatment, and I just had to share my experience. It's hard to find such wonderful service matched with brilliant work so there you go folks! If you do have any questions, feel free to ask myself or of course contact Sarah and the gang at The Smile Clinique. Link below x

Kid's Spaces Made Easy

This week I've been working on creating a little kid friendly play area in my living room. Whilst their bedrooms are magical spaces, it's hard to keep an eye on them and I wanted somewhere they could play safely whilst still having adult supervision. Keeping in line with my love of a monochrome, Scandinavian style theme, I've collected some beautiful handmade pieces and whipped up a beautiful temporary space for my little ones, that gets the big tick of approval from them!

I've used a this beautiful teepee from Fox and Wilder; with a gender neutral colour of white, it made it whimsical and fun with some gum leaves from the garden. Lots of blankets and cushions have made it a warm and inviting space to read or draw. The square box cushion is from Little Connoisseur and is personalised with my son's name. Gracie is lucky enough to have one also and they are the most beautiful baby shower or 1st birthday gift!
With any kids' space, it's important to ensure there is plenty of activities to keep them occupied and drawn to the area. Keep as many toys as possible, without overcrowding or over-stimulating. I'm a sucker for colour coordination and I love wooden toys!  I've popped lots of books and soft toys in there, along with our standard Star wars and lego - you can't see these, they didn't fit in with my theme so I stuffed them in the toy box (as you do). A full list of brands can be found below.
